Africa
My first reaction when I saw the web site was that the opening picture was a little heart breaking. The little kid carrying the two big bones and no housing or water. Then I kept scrolling down and reading, it was Nick's art photo. The one saying got me "I had a vision in mind: I wanted to create an elegy, a likely last testament to an extraordinary, beautiful natural world and its denizens that is rapidly disappearing before our eyes. I wanted to show these animals as individual spirits, sentient creatures equally as worthy of life as us." He was focus on the animal them selfs instead of multiple together.
The rules that could be in this photo is Simplicity and Framing. It can be Simplicity because it isnt focused on there face but along with there bodies. Also could be framing because it shows both the lions and focused on nothing else.
Nick uses three fixed length lenses - 55mm, 105mm, and a 200mm. They are probably important for Nick to use so he can get the photos he wants just right.
Nicks reasons for taking these photos are that he wanted to create an elegy, a likely last testament to an extraordinary, beautiful natural world and its denizens that is rapidly disappearing before out eye. He wanted to show these animals as individual spirits, sentient creatures equally as worthy of life as us.
Nick's hope of taking these photos are to show the animals and the way that they live in the wild in Africa.
Most of Nick's photos came from Africa, and there for I think he enjoys taking pictures there.
Nick newest focus is on "inherit the dust" and has many paragraphs about it. He made the back ground of the picture to look the same in real life. Waited for people to stop looking at the photo to take a photo. The work of nick's may have an impact on some people as they may never seen the animal before or never seen a painting. These images make me feel happy but sad at the same time. The photos look great and all but if you look at the photo and really pay attention, you will notice that it doesn't look the same as it does in Texas. They probably don't have fresh water or food.
